Missoni

 

The Missoni company has been created by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni just after their wedding in 1953. In 1958 they presented in Milan their first collection, called Milano-Simpathy, which was the first to bear the Missoni label.

The unique style of Missoni’s collections made the brand very popular all over the world and granted it the high position in the world of fashion. Missoni knitwear is known for its multitude of patterns such as stripes, geometrics, and abstract florals, in a kaleidoscope of colours. They are also known for the liberal use of many different fabrics such as wool, cotton, linen, rayon and silk.

 

Liviana Conti

 

In 1976 Liviana Troffei came out with a knitwear line for children under the name "lamelamatura". The creative intuition of Liviana, head of the style office, plus the entrepreneurial talent of Roberto Conti, general manager of the company, meant that by 1982 there was the first production of a brand of Total Look women's knitwear which has now become hard fact and an international griffe into the bargain: Liviana Conti. In 2008, the company was purchased by the Light Force SpA group, already owners of the brands TWIN-SET Simona Barbieri.

The Twin-Set brand by Ligth Force first appeared on the Italian market in the early nineties. Sintesi Fashion Group spa, established in 1983, is manufacturing and distributing woman’s knitwear and prêt-à-porter clothing.


Since 1991, we are manufacturing and trading our own brand Anna Rachele with increasing success in Italy, as well as in other European and extra-European countries. Originally born as a knitwear collection, with the course of time, it has been developed until becoming a total look collection; in which the knitwear is combined and enriched with skirts, trousers, blouses and jackets. Sportalm

Sportalm is an Austrian company at the beginning mainly famous for country style fashion. The company started in 1950's and since that time tit is constantly growing. Since 1980 Sportalm is owned by Wilhelm Ehrlih who introduced ski fashion. The company cooperates with the designers Marithé + Francois Girbaud since 1998. The result of this cooperation is development of a new and future line for winter fashion – MFG Actlive. Another line, e.motions, which was introduced in 2004, became a great success on the Austrian market, as well as on the foreign ones.

For 50 years now, the company has been producing in Kitzbühel. CAD-assisted machines in the Examination division and an innovative Warehouse arrangement, make a modern company. Kitzbühel is the authoritative headquarters with 130 employees. The production is located in Bulgaria with 420 employees. Export statistic: country-style 40%, ski-fashion 80%, e.motion 70%, Girbaud 90%. 1400 customers in 22 countries know this example of fine Austrian fashion. The biggest export trade is in Russia, Germany and France.
Through exclusive European production facilities, which are owned by the family, the technical Knowhow is assured and it keeps the creation value in Europe. This is a clear commitment to the quality of our goods, even though the production costs are higher than, for example, in Asia. All together there are 680 employees in our company.

For the production of every model, Sportalm uses up to 160 different pattern-designs. It also needs up to 240 different materials & accessories. It only takes two weeks from the designing of the model, until it is ready for production.

AWARDS:
1986: In 1986 Sportalm, received a very special award, as one of the leading companies in the country, Sportalm could use the Austrian national coat of arms in their trade.

1995: On the 25th May, the company owner Mr. Kommerzialrat Ing. Wilhelm Ehrlich, was awarded at a Gala event in Vienna, the Fashion Prize for 1995, due to the company’s international success.
2004: In November 2004, Sportalm was awarded the “Salzburger Prize 2004”, the most important prize in the Austrian Fashion Industry. Forward strategy in fashion - to make brands winners, was the device at the conference in Salzburg.

2009: In January 2009, Actlive (Marithè + Francois Girbaud) which is an enterprise bead within the Sportalm entrepreneurial group, were named as “Brand of the Year” at a Gala evening (GQ Style night).

2009: Sportalm were the winners of the “Wirtschaftsblatt” prize and were crowned Tyrol’s best family business.
